About Us

The South East England countryside means more than a pretty view.

It’s the place to turn to for some gentle exercise, family outings, a new hobby, a physical challenge, a refreshing break – or just a breath of fresh air when there’s nothing much on TV.

The COUNTRYSIDE 2011 fortnight of discovery, which ran from 28 May to 12 June, showcased over 900 rural activities, attractions and events taking place throughout South East England.

The COUNTRYSIDE 2011 fortnight has ended but you can still, check out the Events Calendar on our sister website, Rural Ways, and browse the COUNTRYSIDE 2011 blog to find out about events and activities to enjoy in the countryside.

COUNTRYSIDE 2011 is organised by the Rural Ways Partnership, which is coordinated by the Regional Tourist Board, Tourism South East. The project is funded via SEEDA.
