Bedgebury National Pinetum & Forest, which is part of the Forestry Commission, has recently received a Growing Schools Garden Award. This recognises Bedgebury as a site that offers a high quality education provision.

The award is made by the Department for Education, FACE (Farming and Countryside Education), Growing Schools and BGEN (Botanic Garden Education Network).

“It’s wonderful to get this external recognition for the skills and dedication of the entire education team.” Says Cath Weeks, Bedgebury’s Learning & Interpretation Manager. “It’s a credit to everyone at Bedgebury, including the Friends of Bedgebury Pinetum, without whose support we wouldn’t be able to deliver this important work.”
