There’s a Festival Afoot on the Chiltern Way
Posted on 20/05/10
The Chiltern Way circular walking route is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a programme of guided walks exploring wonderful scenery and pretty Chiltern villages.
The Chiltern Way stretches for over 125 miles, providing a waymarked scenic route around the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. On its way, it passes through many of Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire’s prettiest Chiltern villages.

The anniversary festival, which is organised by the Chiltern Society, provides a programme of walks led by their volunteers. All of the walks are open to the public – everyone is welcome. Many of the walks are free any those charges which are made are modest.
The Festival programme runs from now until October, with many of its finest walks taking place during COUNTRYSIDE 2011. Look for their entries in the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire sections of the Event Directory and continue to follow the festival throughout the summer.
