Nearly two hundred events are already registered on the Countryside 2011 event directory which goes live in March.
To give you just a taste of what the activity-packed fortnight will have to offer, there’ll be the opportunity to learn to mountain board near Chichester; have free guided tour of the Biddenden Vineyards in Kent; try your hand at sculpting at Pashley Manor Gardens in East Sussex; or view the badgers at night with the Wildlife Trust in West Sussex. Perhaps you’d like to hack through the fields and woodlands of Hall Place in Berkshire; or visit Disraeli’s Garden at Hughenden Manor in Buckinghamshire; or maybe explore Oxford’s green heritage with the Oxford Preservation Trust.
The Countryside 2011 fortnight will also be packed with special offers, only available during the campaign from 28 May to 12 June. A couple of special offers already registered are free places to try the mountain boarding, and two for one rides at Hall Place Equestrian Centre.
If you’re organising an activity or event that’s taking place in the countryside anywhere across the south east from 28 May to 12 June, then register as an ‘Organiser’ and add your event now. There are also lots of additional media opportunities to take advantage of, such as offering competition prizes, or invite the press to take part and write up your event.
