Fancy a fling on Pancake Day?
Posted on 10/02/10

Then the village of Olney, in Buckinghamshire, is the place to be.

The famous Olney Pancake Race, which dates back to 1445, features regularly in films, radio, television and the national press. Large crowds will gather on 16th February for the 415 yard frying pan dash from the Market Place to Church Lane which marks a traditional final fling before the start of Lent.

The race is at 11.55 and all spectators are welcome. The Olney Town Council website has all the details.
