Free coaching sessions, skills activities, enduro races, treasure hunt and more in safe and super off-road setting.
Over the past four years Bedgebury Forest has become South East England’s premier off-road cycling venue. To celebrate this success and to highlight the health and fitness as well as the leisure benefits of cycling, Bedgebury is hosting a Festival of Cycling over the weekend of Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th July.
The event will run from 10am till 4pm each day (Bedgebury will be open as usual from 8am – 8pm). It will involve free coaching sessions, Enduro races and Skill Development Activities (learn a new trick) organised by British Cycling and the Bedgebury Forest Cycle Club, with the assistance of Bedgebury Cycle Coach Ollie Ireland. Kent Air Ambulance will also be organising a fund-raising treasure hunt round the Family Cycle Trail on Sunday. Quench Cycles will be offering return vouchers and bike maintenance demonstrations. Marin will be showcasing their range of bikes.
Apart from the usual car parking fee of £8, the event is free of charge. Timings for coaching sessions and races are available on the Bedgebury website – http://www.forestry.gov.uk/bedgebury or Bedgebury Forest Cycle Club – http://www.boarsonbikes.co.uk.
