Free “Guinea Pigs” Bushcraft Day

The Woodcraft School at Midhurst runs year-long bushcraft instructors courses. As part of Countryside 2011, you are invited to be ‘guinea pigs’ for the day, learning a range of bushcraft skills. Midhurst, West Sussex. June 10-12

Survival expert John Rhyder and his Woodcraft School are specialist providers of high quality bushcraft courses in the UK. Its sister company the Woodcraft Foundation reinvests profits back into the community for the purposes of education and environmental awareness.

As “guinea pigs” to test up-and-coming instructors at the Woodcraft School, you will learn a variety of skills ranging from making fire and finding water, to making shelters. Each day is different as the programme is defined by the students as part of their training. These days have limited places and are offered on a first come first served basis.
