Pens poised for The Sussex House Party
Posted on 21/05/10

Writer Gilly Smith and Jed Novick are opening the paddock for a summer camp for writers and would be writers of all ages on the weekend of June 5/6th.

The Sussex House Party just outside the village of Laughton in East Sussex, is the setting for a unique series of events to promote writing and writers. Set in the rural home of professional writers and academics Gilly Smith and Jed Novick, The Sussex House Party hosts long weekend writers’ retreats, retreats and dinner parties with published authors, where writers and guests chat informally over a three course feast of home cooked food.

During COUNTRYSIDE 2011 Gilly and Jed are opening the paddock for a summer camp for writers and would be writers of all ages on the weekend of June 5/6th.

You can bring your own tent or rent a bell tent, complete with sheepskin rugs and proper beds for total luxury, and feast with fellow writers on local, seasonal food.

With sessions led by writers throughout the weekend for all ages and abilities, this is a writers’ retreat for all the family.
