Get in touch with the land that feeds us: Open Farm Sunday invites us to meet the farmers who grow our food and care for the countryside.
If you’ve every wondered what goes on behind that hedge, or in that farmyard, Open Farm Sunday is your chance to find out. Farms throughout the UK will be open for a variety of tours, tastings and other family friendly activities to show us just what it means to be a farmer today. Entry to the majority of farms is free.
Like The Old Dairy East Sussex many Open Days offer the opportunity to meet the animals, take a farm walk, inspect the farm machinery, watch demonstrations such as sheep sheering and tuck into delicious foods produced right there on the farm.
